'Connection timeout' errors in Firefox?

'Connection timeout' errors in Firefox?

For the last couple of days I've been getting a heap of alliance timeouts in Firefox. I'm connected to a college network so I essentially own no control over it - only an ethernet line into a screen socket. Is there anything that could be causing this at my end or do I only own to post with it?
Try using a dissimilar browser like IE7 (yuck I know), or Opera. If the difficulty persists in those browsers then talk to whoever the administrator of your school's networking is.
right this a think go into firefox, open a new tab, in the capacity you usually put an internet address, sort about:config, you'll get a leaf with a fill of substance in it, look for ipv6, it'll be set to enabled, twice clicking on it should cripple it. once you've done that look for http pipelining, choose a figure thats a small above the one there, also look for max alliance to server attempt increasing that figure to. at one period you've finished exit firefox and then restart it. expectation that helps
if you own a modem and/or router, attempt resetting them (unplug, stay a few minutes, plug, stay some more) try with Internet Explorer or other browser to see if they work. if they do, then something messed up with Firefox, re-install or change network settings yeah, competition the network settings (like the proxy settings)
I'm attractive sure it's not Firefox...it's got something to do with the network....you should agitation to your administrator. He's possibly needing to rework the network he's got setup. How numerous persons are on it do you know??
Click on tools/ options connection (sub menu) How does firefox connect to Internet? direct or proxy maybe you should change to proxy or vise versa ;-)
