some computers im looking at own only 10/100 network card and others own the 10/100/1000 card if i own a 14000 kb/s down and 2000 kb/s up what one will i need thanks

a 10/100 network card is more than enough for this 10 is 10000kb/s 100 is 100000kb/s 1000 is 1000000kb/s having a 1000 card in your arrangement will not make the internet go faster, 1000 only refers to the max speed it can feel and greatest routers don't back 1000, so it will only unhurried down to 100 anyway

If you're planning for a fast network, i propose the 10/100/1000 LAN Support. This will enlarge the data carry over the network. But if you own an internet connection, this fuction has no consequence ever since your alliance speed to the internet are variable, you cannot get the 1000 LAN back for internet connection, but Network alliance will do.

10/100/1000 is always a good one...regardless of what is your speeds... it is new technology(gigabit) and faster. so use that one

10/100Mbps is excellent 14000kb/s is same to 14Mbps, but couldn't harm to get 1000, if you had something to stop it into with a Gigabit port.
