!HELLO! I own currently got broadband after using dial up.When i rotate my pc on am i instantly on the internet?

Am I using my download restriction when i am only playing pc games. I still own old icons on the desk summit and only click them to use internet, when i close this leaf am i off the internet..DER.???? Answer:

any internet vigour uses downloadspeed. internet games do if they are using the internet, but not in singleplayer.

downloading or browsing the net also contributes to download capacity

and ever since almost every design that starts when windows does checks the net for updates, turning on the computer uses some internet capacity, but not much. about the size of one website

and yes you are always on with ADSL

Yes you are connected all the time.

Playing games dont use bandwidth unless theyre online.

Depends on your Modem.
And also, if you own gone throught a Ethernet Cable to connect, then YES you are instanly connected.

If you are connected Via USB Cable, then no, you will need to place the driver for the Modem, which im sure you own got if you own JUST Changed!

You should be, as greatest broadband is "always on" even if your computer is off.

you can download the free netlimiter supervisor implement to narrate you what is using your internet alliance all the time... and how much is being transferred...

with broadband such as line you are always on line unless the computer is off. i depart mine on all the period never use up my bandwidth limit. even although the computer is on line if you are not using the alliance you are no using bandwidth make sure you own a virus scanner firewall and spyware scanner

Psueds Corner - is the answer; in a manner you are asking if anyone hears the tree fall...

the first part depends on whether you connect to broadband through a modem or through a router. In both cases they connect to your phone line then your pc.
a modem will be USB interface and will place a dialler software when you fill your broadband disk. For instyance tiscali own a dialler program. When you twice click internet explorer you will own the usual "dial up" connect button...which will then connect. anything you do after that reality will begin to use your download limit.
With a ROUTEr you are connected to the phone line and your pc, the pc connects through network (cat 5) cable. The router is connected to broadband (usually pre configured by your provider to offer and easy stop and go solution) permanently unless it is physically turned off at the authority socket. Your pc connects to the router through an IP address that is sent from the router, therefore if you router is turned on and your pc is turned on you are conncted to the internet. However you will only use your download restriction if you are surfing or connected to an internet based activity, ie games.

The only period I own ever heard of a "download limit" is when downloading from newsgroups.

Telephone your internet facilities and ask them to explain to you what your restriction applys to.
