kbs or MBS

kbs would be 1 meg a sec = SLOW

Mbs would be 1 gig a sec = you don't own it ( very very exspensive )

to the idiot who says i do not understand what i was talking about

1,024 KBS = 1MEG
I asked did he signify 1,024 kbs or MBS and stated 1mbs alliance would be unhurried , next period pay attention

1 Megabit each second (1Mbps)

1,024,000,000 bits each second

Sorry but the manlike who answered 1 GIGBITS.. has no confirmation abt the spd

It's 1 MEGABITS each second

1 GIGAbits would be supernautically fabulous, i would immediately stain up for such a service

it's 1 Mb / second
if u actually own this speed for downloading, it's attractive fast :)

(1,048,576 Kbps = 1Gb / sec)

It is one meg.

It is what I pay for from UKOnline but I get rounded 1.7mbps. I do not complain!

People frequently times get bits and bytes confused. Seems like some of the posters own made this light error as well.

There are 8 bits to 1 byte. bits are always quoted by Internet providers ever since they surrender a larger figure then using bytes.
Bits are always expressed with a drop circumstances "b" while Bytes are always expressed with an uppercase "B"

So your question is stated in bits not bytes.

1024kbps is also known as 1.0 mega part each second. Which is dissimilar from 1024KBps. 1024KBps would act for the download speed of an 8.0 mega part connection.

So competition again.. if you are getting 1024KBps -- you're FAST.

If you are only getting 1024kbps (small "b")then you're equal to a unhurried Residential DSL connection. Or an average Corporate network with a heap of internet traffic.

1 Mbps. Speed is relative, so "how fast" needs to be phrased comparitively.

1,024 Kbps is much slower than you should be seeing for LAN speeds, about 16 times faster than a dial-up internet connection, within the opportunity of numerous DSL and Cable Modem internet connections, 2/3 the speed of a T1 and about 22% of what a T3 will get you.

1024 Kbps (Kilobits each second) = 1Mbps

This is not extremely fast, but is on par with short exclude DSL service. This is, however, much faster than a dial-up connection.

about 3 minutes to download a 3-4 moment song

It's a 1MB internet alliance which will give you download speeds of rounded 110KB/s. Which is on the short end of broadband seeing as they are going record 20MB now. But 1MB is still plently for web browsing, gaming and downloading music. Movies and games would take a while though.
